Men should be allowed to care without feeling like they're doing something wrong.

I started Tamus because I was fed up with buying sheet masks made for someone else's face.

They never fit. They slid straight off the beard. So I started cutting them myself, kitchen scissors, over the sink, which is a strange thing to be doing at 7am. After enough of those mornings, the idea was hard to ignore: somebody should just make one that fits. Might as well be me.

While I was figuring out how to make it, other questions kept showing up. Why don't more men do this? Does a sheet mask make you less of a man? Who decided that?

The further down that road I got, the simpler the answer looked. Men should be allowed to take care of themselves without it being a statement, a secret, or a routine borrowed from a shelf that wasn't built for them. Taking a step back so you can take two forward. That's it. That's the whole idea.

So this is Tamus. A mask that fits around the beard, made by a guy who has one, for anyone who's tired of pretending the standard one works.
